Shaina was instrumental in helping us get through our daughter transitioning to preschool for the first time. Going from COVID times of not really socializing with many people except our immediate family, to suddenly being put into a new environment with new faces and a new daily routine, was such a tremendous adjustment for our daughter. It was hard for us as well to see her so upset and stressed out, especially during morning drop off. Shaina stepped in and offered advice and tips and tricks to help us ease her transition into her new surroundings. Not to mention, she was amazing at giving us pep talks, which brought us comfort and made us feel like a lot of stress was taken off our shoulders. We took Shaina's advice and can honestly say that it helped our daughter immensely! We cannot thank her enough for that. It has been an emotional journey and there are a lot of aspects to navigating through the school system, but having Shaina as an advocate for us and knowing that she is someone we can turn to for our questions and concerns, has been invaluable. Her knowledge and experience with children makes her an asset to any parent. Thank you Shaina!!!

Last year, my husband and I were having some issues with communication at our daycare center about our daughter’s behavior. Our daughter had been exhibiting physically violent behaviors towards students and teachers at the center, but was not showing any of these signs at home. The center director was adamant that this was something that needed to be addressed at home, but we found that communicating with her about events at daycare was difficult and unsuccessful. We had not had any big changes at home, however the class our daughter was in had seen several faculty changes as well as friends of our daughter’s being removed from the class without our knowledge. With an impeding parent-teacher conference to discuss our daughter’s behavior and the progress we had made at home, we felt unsure of what to do and how to move forward. At this point, we turned to Shaina as a person who is exceptionally knowledgeable in matters of child development and childcare facilities.
It felt as though we had a bunch of loose puzzle pieces with no way of knowing how to put them together to help our daughter with what she was going through at her daycare. After explaining our situation, Shaina was able to take the loose puzzle pieces we had and put them together in a way that made sense for our family. Her advice and knowledge gave us the confidence to approach our daughter’s parent-teacher conference with the tools we needed to make it successful. Using the language that is common for daycare centers, differentiating between daycare versus home, and addressing the daycare not meeting our daughter’s emotional needs were key in changing our daughter’s experience away from home. We were able to create a partnership with the center’s faculty and directors that had not been possible before, and this was all thanks to Shaina.
Going forward, we have been able to use the communication tools and ideas that Shaina gave us to continue to create a better life both at home and at daycare for our daughter. Working as a team at to get through changes in the class, changes at home, and having clear communication about those things simply would not have been possible without Shaina’s help. She has always been open and transparent about how to approach issues like this, and if we ever need help in this field again she will be the first person we reach out to.

There is so many wonderful things that Shaina has assisted me with when understanding the child care system, key things to ask during facility walkthroughs, and giving me peace of mind when making a selection. She has also assisted me and my family when knowing when to speak up or ask tough questions I would have other wise have not known I could ask.
Being a new mother/parent, trusting your new babies child care facility is at the top of your list. Shaina guided me through the process from what to look for in management staff, to what they provided, to the cost and if it was suitable for our family financially. The wealth of knowledge she has provided me over the course of the last year and a half has been so helpful and quick so i can make an informed decision at the drop of a hat.
I would highly recommend Shaina to anyone who is needing guidance and understanding around early childhood care facilities. She has been such a pleasure to work with and her compassion is unmatched!
