Welcome to Parent Perplexities, a website that allows parents who may be conflicted or confused about childcare or situations that occur within their program, to gain knowledge and confidence about early childhood education. Childcare can be a very stressful and overwhelming time for any family. I am here to help make that experience as smooth as possible!
My name is Shaina. I am an Early Childhood Education Specialist. My passion comes from having worked behind the scenes as a regional director of childcare centers, helping directors, teachers and families thrive within the right program.
I started as a toddler teacher when I was in High School and my passion for Early Childhood Education took off from there. As I started taking Early Childhood Education courses in college I knew that I had found my calling. Children have always been my first love: their pure innocence, love for learning, and desire to help have always fascinated me. As I continued teaching throughout college, I developed meaningful relationships with the parents of the children I taught, and soon realized I could help on a much larger scale. I wanted to help teachers reach their fullest potential and be the support parents needed.
Shortly after graduating, I helped open a private preschool. When we found out I was pregnant, my time at the center ended, but as soon as I was ready, I went back into the field as a director of another preschool. My love for helping teachers excel and parents enjoy their experience instead of dreading it, fully bloomed during that time. After several years of directing, I felt that I had accomplished all I could, so stepping into the shoes as a regional director, supporting directors in creating thriving programs, was an excellent next step in my career.
I have started and directed multiple childcare programs, I have mentored teachers and directors, as well as business owners. Now it's your turn, as parents, to receive the support needed for a smooth and enjoyable childcare experience.
